The latest edition of El Clásico is of course set to play out in Catalunya’s capital this coming Sunday.

The fixture marks nothing short of a crucial one for visitors Real Madrid, in their ongoing efforts to hunt down Barcelona atop the La Liga table.

Fall to defeat, and Los Blancos will see their title hopes all but ended. Emerge victorious, on the other hand, and Carlo Ancelotti’s troops will put the pressure very much back on Barca with just three gameweeks remaining.

One leading figure at the Santiago Bernabéu who will not be present to watch the club’s efforts to best their long-time rivals, though, is the aforementioned Florentino Pérez.

As per a report from Sport:

‘The truth is that Florentino has not travelled to almost any of Real Madrid’s away games and did not travel to the Catalan capital for the last Clásico. Therefore, in the white expedition that will head to Barcelona on Saturday afternoon, the Madrid president is not expected to attend.’
