Real Madrid star ‘a doubt’ to face RB Salzburg | OneFootball

La Liga giants Real Madrid could be forced to make do without the services of a high-profile member of the club’s squad in their upcoming meeting with RB Salzburg.

That’s according to The Athletic’s Mario Cortegana, who points towards Aurélien Tchouaméni as the player in question.

Midfielder Tchouaméni was for his part forced to sit out on Sunday, as Real Madrid made short work of Las Palmas to climb back to the top of the La Liga table.

This came with the Frenchman having been suffering with a fresh fitness concern.

The hope was that Tchouaméni would have recovered in time to play his part on Wednesday, when Los Blancos play host to RB Salzburg in the Champions League.

As confirmed by club insider Mario Cortegana, however, as much remains altogether up in the air:

‘Tchouaméni is a doubt for Wednesday after experiencing physical discomfort ahead of Madrid’s win over Las Palmas on Sunday.’
