Picking the ball up with his back to goal, the 23-year-old danced his way into the Brest penalty area courtesy of a superb run, before directing a pinpoint finish home off the base of the far post.

And as much only served in reiterating what so many of a Real Madrid persuasion have been saying for some time now.

Amid a scintillating recent stretch of individual form, Rodrygo has made crystal clear to boss Carlo Ancelotti once again that his best position without question is on the left wing.
