Real Madrid star ruled out for 3 weeks with injury | OneFootball

An update on the wellbeing of Real Madrid star Rodrygo has come to the fore on Thursday afternoon.

This comes, for those who may have missed it, after the Brazilian picked up an injury problem during Real’s Champions League meeting with Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night.

En route to an eventual 5-2 Blancos triumph, Rodrygo was forced off late on, with a muscular concern.

And now, two days on, an update on the situation has been provided.

As per an official statement across Real Madrid’s website and social media platforms:

‘Following tests carried out on our player Rodrygo Goes by the Real Madrid medical services today, he’s been diagnosed with an injury to the biceps femoris muscle in his right thigh.’

Rodrygo, in turn, has as expected been ruled out of this weekend’s first Clásico of the season.

According to the reliable Mario Cortegana of The Athletic, the 23-year-old, all told, is likely to be sidelined for a spell of around 20 days.
