Liverpool star and long-time Real Madrid transfer target Trent Alexander-Arnold has on Monday confirmed his intention to depart the former this summer.

The name of defender Alexander-Arnold has of course long proven an altogether prominent one in the media headlines across Europe.

This comes ahead of the imminent expiration of the England international’s contract with the aforementioned Liverpool.

Amid intense interest on the part of La Liga giants Real Madrid, Alexander-Arnold made the call to seek out a new adventure in Spain, with only official confirmation on the part of the player himself having been missing.

In a heartfelt statement across his social media platforms, the 26-year-old – set to battle it out with Dani Carvajal for game time in Madrid next season – made official his decision to depart Anfield this summer.
