Real Madrid teenager Reinier will reportedly stay at Borussia Dortmund at least until the end of the season, amid ongoing exit talk.
Reinier joined Dortmund on a two-year loan in August but has made just eight appearances without scoring or assisting.
But according to Goal, the 19-year-old wants to stay with the Bundesliga club and Madrid are happy for him to decide his short-term future.
Real Valladolid offered to sign Reinier in January should his loan be cut prematurely, although all parties are willing to continue as is.
“We basically don’t want to give him up,” said BVB sporting director Michael Zorc last month.
“If someone is unhappy because he has too few opportunities, then you talk to each other, but we will not take the initiative ourselves.
“He is not the first Brazilian who needs time to adapt. He really gives a lot of effort in training and is on the right track.
“We are confident that this will be reflected in his performances as soon as possible.”
Reinier remains Real Madrid’s most expensive ever January signing (€30m) after overtaking Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (€27m) when he joined the club last year.
