Real Sociedad handed major injury boost before Mallorca | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Real Sociedad have on Thursday been afforded some altogether timely positive news on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that midfield standout Brais Méndez has returned to group training alongside the rest of Imanol’s squad.

Brais has for his part not taken to the pitch in a competitive setting for just shy of a month now.

As much comes after the 28-year-old suffered a fractured fifth metatarsal in his right foot.

Amid what has been a productive campaign for Brais when fully fit and firing, this setback therefore came as a heavy one for all associated with Real Sociedad.

As alluded to above, though, on Thursday, the Spaniard has taken a significant step back towards the pitch.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘Real Sociedad completed another training session in Zubieta on Thursday with a major update: the return of Brais Méndez to the group.’

It now remains to be seen if Brais is considered well enough to play his part against RCD Mallorca this weekend.
