Milan and Manchester City reportedly have a meeting lined up for today to discuss Tijjani Reijnders, but while a sale is entirely possible, the Premier League side are in a hurry.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, there is an encounter planned for this afternoon where the clubs can negotiate in person.
It is absolutely no secret that Pep Guardiola has requested the midfielder to reinforce his squad next season, making them the favourites ahead of Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Manchester City are also determined to get the Dutchman in their grasp in time to play the Club World Cup in the USA from mid-June.

However, Milan are in no rush to get the deal done, knowing that Reijnders only recently signed a new contract to June 2030.
It all points to the Rossoneri feeling a sale is inevitable, but it will definitely not be cheap, requiring a minimum of €70m.
Things are also progressing fast off the field, as Milan are meeting new coach Max Allegri today to sign him to a three-year contract.

Considering the player was purchased from AZ Alkmaar in 2023 for €20.5m plus bonuses, it would represent a huge profit.
Reijnders scored 15 goals and provided five assists in 54 competitive games for Milan this season.
