Ronaldo de Assis Moreira, also known as "O Bruxo," but remembered in the annals of football lore as Ronaldinho, turns 45 today.
While many in the current generation of football fans were not privileged enough to watch the Porto Alegre-born magician live, thankfully, YouTube and other video archives still exist.
Across a career that took him from Grêmio academy graduate and domestic stardom, to dazzling Ligue 1 with Paris Saint-Germain, and on to helping re-shape Barcelona to its very core before ultimately heading back to his native Brazil, few players have ever conquered the beautiful game as he did.
The very essence of what "Joga Bonito" encapsulates, Ronaldinho will go down in history as one of the most gifted humans with a ball at his feet.
And while fans and pundits still debate if he is one of the greatest players of all time, what is for certain, is that there will never be another like him.
Sit back as you board the nostalgia train and enjoy a step back to a period of elegance that will be difficult to match.
