Multiple reports in the last few hours had claimed that Juventus were in advanced talks with the Portuguese club and their defender.
Even Como coach Cesc Fabregas suggested on Monday that the Bianconeri were close to signing the Portuguese defender.
Costa’s Juventus move prevented Como from signing Ivan Fresneda from Sporting CP. The Portuguese club had, in fact, identified Costa as Fresneda’s replacement.
Costa is expected to land in Turin in the coming days to undergo his medical with the Serie A giants and sign the contract with his new club.
