According to Gazzetta IT (h/t Football.London), Serie A champions AC Milan do not intend to keep hold of on-loan Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko and could terminate his loan deal in January.
Bakayoko, who has been loaned out by Chelsea every season since the summer of 2018, spent a season on loan at Milan during the 2018/19 season. He then played for AS Monaco and Napoli before moving back to the Rossoneri last summer on a two-year loan deal.
Now, it seems as if the French international is no longer wanted by the Italian champions. The 28-year-old, who only played a total of 607 minutes for them last season, hasn’t even kicked a ball this time around. So, we can have an idea of how low he is in the squad pecking order.

Bakayoko is a talented central midfielder who was excellent for Monaco before joining Chelsea in June 2017 for a deal worth £39.7m.
His contract at Stamford Bridge expires in the summer of 2024 (Transfermarkt). If he comes back in January, the best bet would be to find a suitable club where he can start playing top-flight games.
It is clear that the Frenchman is not part of the plans at Chelsea after one full season at the club. His lack of progress at Milan and Napoli is probably another proof of why the Blues kept on loaning him out in the last four summers.
Bakayoko played one full season with Chelsea.
It is a shame for Bakayoko that things didn’t work out for him at Milan. He is only 28 though and has time on his hands to resurrect his rather pale career after a promising start.
He may have to go back to the drawing board and play for a mid-table club somewhere and perform consistently before jumping back up to represent one of the big boys.
