This season, FC Barcelona have once again emerged as one of the strongest contenders for the UEFA Champions League. As things stand, the Blaugranes only have to get over Inter Milan to ensure their presence in the final of the competition.
There is no doubt that this is a significant achievement for Hansi Flick, who has led the Catalan team to their first semi-final appearance in six years.
However, in addition to the gain in prestige, this UCL campaign will also bring in a significant amount of monetary benefits for Barcelona.
Mundo Deportivo has provided an overview of how much money the Catalans have already earned from the competition and how much they can go on to earn.
If the Blaugranes are able to eliminate Inter Milan and make their way to the final of the competition, they would ensure a minimum income of €101,335,122 from the UCL.
Only getting to the final will get Barcelona €18.5 million, which would then be added to the €83 million they have already accumulated from the competition. This latter sum is made up by some other previous achievements.
For instance, only playing in the UCL provided the Blaugranes with an income of €18.6 million, a fixed amount that UEFA grants to every team participating in the league phase. Another €13.3 million was earned for their results in this first phase of the competition, while yet another €13 million was made by getting to the Round of 16.
Furthermore, UEFA also provided €10,435,122 to Barcelona for the 35 shares they got for ending the league phase in the second position. From the knockout rounds, the Catalans earned €12.5 million for eliminating Benfica in the Round of 16 and another €15 million for beating Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-finals.

Thus, Barcelona have already pocketed €82,835,122. But this amount can go even higher. As already mentioned, they will get €18.5 million for getting to the final, but winning it would provide them with another €6.5 million. Furthermore, it would also ensure their participation in the UEFA Super Cup, which means another €4 million for the Blaugrana coffers.
Ultimately, if everything goes in their favor, Barcelona can end up earning €111,835,122 from this edition of the UCL.
