Inter Milan have lined up Cesc Fabregas, Roberto De Zerbi, and Christian Chivu as replacements if Simone Inzaghi leaves.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews.

At the moment, the future of Simone Inzaghi as Inter Milan coach is very much up in the air.

This evening’s shock 5-0 loss at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final has hardly changed things.

And after the match, the Inter coach admitted that he doesn’t know if he’ll still be in charge of the Nerazzurri for the Club World Cup this summer.

And Inter do not want to be caught unprepared in the event that Inzaghi does decide to go.

The Nerazzurri do still want to keep the 49-year-old former Lazio coach at the helm. They will offer him a new contract.

However, it will be up to Inzaghi to decide whether or not he wants to stay,

And the nature of Inter’s loss to PSG this evening could be enough to change the coach’s outlook. Inter did not just lose the match – the scoreline and performance exposed every fault the team has.

If Inzaghi does decide to leave, Sky report, Inter want to bring in a young coach they can build around.

Como’s Cesc Fabregas is one name on the Nerazzurri’s radar. As is Marseille coach Roberto De Zerbi, formerly of Sassuolo, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Brighton and Hove Albion.

Then, Parma coach Christian Chivu is another coach on Inter’s radar, reports Sky. The Romanian enjoyed a decorated playing career with Inter, and also coached the club at various youth team levels.
