Fikayo Tomori was heading towards an exit from AC Milan as the mercato opened, but the arrival of Sergio Conceicao halted that. Now, the possibility has opened once again.
Things with Milan are never straightforward, and the Tomori saga has proved that once again. Since the arrival of Conceicao, the Englishman solidified his position at the back, and the Rossoneri seemed effectively closed off to his potential departure.
However, there have been reports in the past 24 hours which may suggest that the defender is not guaranteed for next week.
Aston Villa initially had a bid rejected yesterday, a loan offer with a conditional buy clause inserted, but Tottenham Hotspur had also sought information about a deal and in the past hour, the club have made a bid to sign the defender, according to Calciomercato.com.
The report states that the Diavolo are ‘not closed off’ to his departure, despite there only being a few days left of the mercato. Of course, if he were to depart, another player would have to arrive very quickly, in fact, in ‘record time’.
Furthermore, Gianluigi Longari writes that a deal would have to exceed €25 million, but the defender has not yet given the move the green light. Contacts are continuing to take place and likely will do ‘even after the derby’.
