Reyes opens up on what it means to play for Club América | OneFootball

Club América defender Israel Reyes has expressed what it means to be playing for one of Mexico’s biggest clubs after making the move from Puebla less than one month ago.

The 22-year-old did not shy away from lavishing praise down on his new team, pointing out that he is now living every player’s dream.

“Anyone wants to be at this club. Everyone wants to play for América because of what it means, because on the field it makes you grow and because of everything you are exposed to.

“It is incredible how everywhere you go, they are aware of you, supporting, encouraging. It is something very beautiful.

“From the first day I arrived they made it clear to me what the goal of the club is. The team is designed to achieve it and obviously I want to contribute to achieving it.”

Reyes will get his chance to make his mark on his new club in the coming days as América kick off their Copa por México campaign on Thursday in a showdown with Necaxa.
