Robert Lewandowski injury update ahead of Barcelona vs Sevilla | OneFootball

An update on the wellbeing of Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski has come to the fore on Wednesday afternoon.

And the news is of an altogether encouraging nature for those of a Barcelona persuasion.

This comes amid claims that frontman Lewandowski is expected to be fit and available to feature in the Blaugrana’s post-international break return to action this weekend.

‘Lewa’ was for his part on the receiving end of a dangerous challenge on the international front on Tuesday night, culminating in a red card for Croatia no.1 Dominik Livaković.

Post-match in Warsaw, Barcelona’s star goalscorer was then spotted limping heavily, on his way out of the stadium at the PGE Narodowy.

Lewandowski, in turn, was immediately labelled as a doubt to feature in the Blaugrana’s La Liga meeting with Sevilla this weekend.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then the Barca faithful need not fret.

As per a report from Carlos Monfort of Relevo:

‘Sources from the Polish national team are confident that it is only a serious knock and believe he will be available this weekend.’

Lewandowski has since been spotted back in Catalunya’s capital, too, no longer struggling in his efforts to walk:
