Sergio Conceicao has been on the way out of AC Milan for a while now, and the loss to Bologna has solidified that.

As results go, Milan can not be too frustrated with last night. The Rossoblu were better and showed more heart, ultimately deserving of the Coppa Italia. However, the Rossoneri’s performance has been the real kicker.

Rather than showing heart and desire in an attempt to save the season, the performance was lacklustre and a reflection of the season. If there were any game for that not to be the case, it was this one.

Giorgio Furlani was asked about the future, and whilst he admitted that discussions would take place, he did not reveal anything else about the situations – which is to be expected. However, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the Portuguese will not be here next season, stating that this was ‘always planned’.

There were suggestions in recent months that a Coppa Italia win could be his own salvation, and a chance to move forward together. However, it seems he too wants done with this term of his career, which is a worry in itself.

The next few weeks promise to be packed with action and words, but whether they will be good for Milan remains to be seen.
