PSV has Maduka Okoye in its sights as Walter Benítez’s successor, according to VoetbalPrimeur. Although the title-chasing Eindhoven side will arrive as a tempting prospect for the 25-year-old, the Boeren will reportedly face competition from the Premier League’s AFC Bournemouth.
The Dutch outlet cites Europa Calcio as it describes the interest in Okoye. The 6 ft 6 Düsseldorf-born Nigerian international currently plays for Udinese and has registered 14 Serie A appearances so far this term. He has 16 caps for the Super Eagles, whom he qualifies to represent through his Igbo Nigerian father.
Accoding to Europa Calcio’s reports, Udinese will consider whether they want to let Okoye go next summer during the final weeks of the season.
Currently, the giant former Sparta Rotterdam goalkeeper’s market value sits around €7.50m (Transfermarkt).
