Sahin gives update on Gross and Süle after win over St. Pauli

Niklas Süle missed Borussia Dortmund's 2-1 win over FC St. Pauli on Friday due to illness, while Pascal Gross was forced off at half-time after setting up the opener.

With an important away Champions League game against Real Madrid coming up on Tuesday, BVB coach Nuri Sahin gave an update on the duo after the win over St. Pauli.

"Pascal wanted to play on, but the doctor said it could be dangerous. I was reluctant to take him off, but it was the most sensible decision," said Sahin.

On Süle, the BVB coach said:

“He has lost a lot of weight, lost a lot of fluid and he really hasn't been feeling well in the last few days. But I hope that we will have him with us in Madrid.”
