With our steely defence shining for weeks, you opted for our defensive stalwart, who gained over 45% of all votes. It was a close run thing for a long time though - here is how it finished:

Samson Baidoo (45.12 %)

Our defensive pillar gained a call-up into the Austrian national team during a month he can be truly proud of! He played through the full 90 minutes of all our matches in March, impressing with his superb challenging ability. He ended the month by celebrating his 21st birthday - and the Player of the Month trophy is a perfect present.

Nicolas Capaldo (35.14 %)

Mr. Allrounder himself! Nico has not only impressed in his usual central position in March but also as an emergency right-back. The Argentinian covers every blade of grass on the pitch and is just as effective in clearing the danger or setting up his team-mates - as he showed in teeing up our opening goal against Rapid.

Yorbe Vertessen (14.48 %)

Straight after joining us in January, the Belgian showed what he is capable of - but he really stepped up a gear in March! His chipped goal against Sturm started our brilliant comeback, and he netted twice in the 2-0 win against Rapid Vienna at the weekend.

Joane Gadou (5.26 %)

Sammy's central defensive partner has also been a bedrock in our defence - with a maturity on the pitch that is nothing short of remarkable for an 18-year-old. Opposing attackers just cannot find a way past the tall Frenchman, who has provided a regular threat going forward too.
