Manchester City again dropped points as they had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Everton in the Premier League. It’s been a while since Pep Guardiola’s men tasted victory and now it’s getting really frustrating for the players and the fans.
The Citizens will be locking horns with Leicester City in an away encounter this weekend. It will be another opportunity for the English Champions to regain their lost confidence and form. However, even a victory won’t add much relief in their situation to be honest.
Defence
As Ederson is doubtful for this game too, Stefan Ortega should continue to operate between the sticks. With multiple injuries, Pep Guardiola doesn’t have many options to pick from for the defensive line.
Rico Lewis operates as the right-back with Manuel Akanji and Josko Gvardiol forming the heart of the defence. If Nathan Ake gets the green light, he will retain his spot or else Jahmai Simpson-Pusey could get the nod to take onto the field.

Midfield
Mateo Kovacic couldn’t make much impact in the middle of the park and he will be motivated to do better this time. He has to step up and contribute more in the absence of Rodri.
Bernardo Silva provides the width on the right wing with Savinho running down the ground on the other flank. Phil Foden has shown form in recent games and should continue to operate in the central areas.
However, Kevin de Bruyne could be seen starting this game at the cost of Jeremy Doku. Erling Haaland leads the offensive line despite struggling to find the back of the net.
Rodri, Oscar Bobb and Ruben Dias are confirmed absentees while the likes of Jack Grealish, Ederson, Matheus Nunes, John Stones, Kyle Walker, and Nathan Ake will be assessed before the clash.
