ScotRail will increase services between Glasgow Central and Mount Florida on both Saturday and Sunday to help manage the anticipated match-day crowds for the high-profile semi-final fixtures.
The semi-final weekend will begin on Saturday, 19 April, with Hearts facing Aberdeen at 12:30pm. On Sunday, St Johnstone will meet defending cup holders Celtic, with the match set to start at 3:00pm. A huge Celtic support will fill the vast majority of the National stadium with around 5000 supporters travelling down from Perth to support St Johnstone.

To handle the expected crowds, designated queuing systems will be implemented at both Glasgow Central and Mount Florida throughout the weekend. On Sunday, supporters of both St Johnstone and Celtic are recommended to use Mount Florida for travel both before and after the game.
Phil Campbell, the director of customer operations at ScotRail, said: “ScotRail is looking forward to helping fans travel to Hampden to cheer on their side in the men’s Scottish Cup semi-finals.”
“We’ll be doing all we can to help you travel to the game as hassle-free as possible, which includes more seats and services to and from Mount Florida. Queuing systems will be in place before and after the matches, so please make sure you know where to go, and our staff will also be on hand to direct you.”
Campbell also urged fans to prepare in advance, explaining: “Buying your return tickets in advance on the ScotRail app will reduce your need to queue, and help your journey run smoothly.”
With additional services and staff available, the rail operator aims to enhance the matchday experience for the thousands of fans traveling to and from Glasgow for one of the biggest events in the Scottish football calendar.
