The Clarets picked up a crucial three points thanks to two first half goals from Hannibal and Jaidon Anthony, despite a late Jack Stacey goal for Norwich setting up a tense finish.

It was a win that sent Burnley back to the top of the Championship ahead of Saturday's round of fixtures, and moved them ever closer to securing a return to the Premier League for next season.

Speaking via the Burnley Express after his side's victory over the Canaries, Parker lauded Clarets supporters for the atmosphere they generated inside Turf Moor.

He said: "I must mention the stadium tonight. I thought the stadium was absolutely superb.

"I think it's probably the best it's been, certainly since I've been here and they've been brilliant all year. But even when they scored that goal at that moment, I felt a real positive energy coming from the fans, who were like: ‘yeah, let's go again’.

“Our reaction after the goal was superb. I think for large parts of that, it was down to the stadium, to be quite honest with you," the Burnley boss continued.

“I've mentioned it many times, I've been in the arena many times before and you always get a feeling of a stadium and where your fans are and sometimes that can have a big effect.

“Those fans tonight give us that little bit of a push when we needed it most and they were a large part of why we've come out of it with three points.”

It's that time of the campaign where the support given from the terraces can truly make all the difference to the outcome of a season.

Burnley's Premier League destiny is in their own hands, and now is the time for Clarets supporters to roar their team over the finish line.

Just two home games remain for the Clarets this season, and they are two massive ones at that.

Parker will take his side to Watford on Good Friday, and after that, they will welcome their automatic promotion rivals Sheffield United to Turf Moor on Easter Monday.

Their penultimate fixture of the season is a visit to Loftus Road to take on QPR on 26 April, before a final day showdown on home soil against play-off-chasing Millwall to see out the campaign.

Obviously, the pick of Burnley's two final home games is their battle with the Blades, in what could be an automatic promotion decider. There is sure to be an electric atmosphere inside the club's historic footballing amphitheatre that evening.

So, with the Premier League in sight, Parker will no doubt be calling on his band of Burnley supporters to keep cranking up the decibel levels both at Turf Moor, and on the road.
