MIAMI — The 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup concluded its Semifinals stage following four exciting matches over the past two weeks, delivering the two finalists that will compete for the trophy on June 1.

There were many excellent individual performances, yet these 11 players stood out the most in their respective positions.

Goalkeeper

Kevin Mier, Cruz Azul – With important interventions in the opening leg and two saves in the second leg to earn the clean sheet, Mier was present when needed to see Cruz Azul to the Final.

Defenders

Édier Ocampo, Vancouver Whitecaps FC – One of the On the Rise players of the 2025 edition, the 21-year-old Ocampo was one of Vancouver’s most active players on the ball with three tackles won, 10 duels won, 14 clearances, seven interceptions with 132 touches across both legs.

Juan Jose Sanchez Purata, Tigres UANL – Purata struck in the 84th minute of the first leg to salvage a 1-1 draw at home and keep Tigres UANL in the hunt heading into the second leg. He also contributed three tackles, 11 duels won, and 17 clearances across both encounters.

Jesús Orozco, Cruz Azul – Orozco helped Cruz Azul hold Tigres to one goal across two legs with nine clearances overall. He also contributed four tackles won, nine duels won, and helped obtain a clean sheet.

Carlos Rotondi, Cruz Azul – Rotondi was one of the most effective players on the defensive side with six tackles won, 18 duels won, three clearances, and one interception. His contributions helped Cruz Azul take an away goal from the first leg tie and a clean sheet in the second leg to advance to the final.

Midfielders

Ignacio Rivero, Cruz Azul – Rivero was one of the active players in the attack with six crosses and seven shots, three inside the box and four from distance.

Sebastian Berhalter, Vancouver Whitecaps FC – The 23-year-old Berhalter excelled with two goals and two assists to help the Whitecaps dismantle Inter Miami CF across two legs.

Pedro Vite, Vancouver Whitecaps FC – With an assist in the first leg and a goal in the second, Vite helped Vancouver advance to its first Final. He was one of the more active players on the ball with 110 total touches.

Juan Brunetta, Tigres UANL – Brunetta had six attempts for Tigres UANL, including five from outside the box, to test the defense. He also delivered 11 crosses and assisted Purata’s goal in the first leg.

Forwards

Brian White, Vancouver Whitecaps FC – White continued his clutch performances with the Whitecaps with the opening goal in each leg, extending his tally to five to tie Lionel Messi for second in the Golden Boot race.

Ángel Sepúlveda, Cruz Azul – The tournament’s leading scorer extended his tally to seven with the match-winning strike in the second leg. Sepúlveda also assisted Rotondi’s goal in the first leg.
