As per reports from the De Telegraaf, there has been a big setback for Ajax and Youri Regeer (21). Brought in as a replacement for the departed Devyne Rensch from FC Twente last month, the full-back has been injured and will be out of action for at least two months.
Although restarting his Ajax career with an appearance in De Klassieker’s win against Feyenoord, Regeer reportedly injured his ankle during training a few days after his return to the club.
The Amsterdammers paid four million euros to FC Twente in the January transfer window, bringing the Haarlem-born all-rounder back to the club he played for as a youth. Twente themselves acquired him in the summer of 2023 for 900,000 euros.
