Furious Sevilla fans have threatened President Jose Maria del Nido Carrasco, as they continue to protest his leadership of the club. Just three days before their clash with Real Madrid, they have hung a blow-up doll from an overpass, in similar fashion to the racial attack from Atletico Madrid ultras against Vinicius Junior last season ahead of the Madrid derby.
As detailed by Marca, on Thursday morning a doll was hung from a bridge in Seville near a busy motorway. The doll, which has a bag on its head and a Sevilla scarf attached to its arm, also had a sign saying ‘Junior, this is your end’, in a faux hanging.
The threat is aimed at President del Nido Carrasco, who has been the target of vitriol, threats and protests all season, but the temperature has been on the rise in recent weeks. At the end of games, it is not uncommon to hear ‘Junior, go now’ at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, in reference to the fact that del Nido Carrasco is the son of former President Jose Maria del Nido Benavente, who is also in a long-running feud with his son.

Sevilla have informed the police, who are now investigating the matter.
After another damaging defeat to Celta Vigo over the weekend, hundreds of Sevilla fans gathered outside the training facilities to make their feelings heard to the players and the club. Some would then break into the training ground, and the players were forced to stay overnight for their safety, an incident which Sevilla strongly condemned. Winger Suso confirmed that they also spoke with the fans.
Sevilla directors have been told not to be seen around the city currently for their own safety, while del Nido Carrasco arrived 5.5 hours before Sevilla’s 1-0 win over Las Palmas on Tuesday, in order to avoid crossing paths with fans beforehand, and did not leave until 01:00, 90 minutes after the game finished, for the same reason.
The ultras group at Sevilla, the Biris Norte, are currently trying to organise further protests for their clash with Real Madrid this Sunday, and are encouraging fans not to attend the game for the first 45 minutes.
