Shamrock Rovers retain hope of bringing Johnny Kenny back to the club before the end of the transfer window. The League of Ireland window shuts on the 22nd February and the Dublin side hold hopes of bringing the striker back from Celtic.

Kenny came on the pitch in last month’s impressive away win against Ross County and earned an assist from his debut. Brendan spoke about assessing Kenny before deciding on how to progress his game.

Celtic have been spending deadline day attempting to bring a striker into the club to replace Kyogo. The striker left for Rennes on the 26th January but Brendan revealed that the deal was in the pipeline for a while after the player made his views clear.

Mathias Kvistgaarden was seen as Celtic’s primary striking target since Brendan took charge in the summer of 2023. It appears that negotiations with Brondby broke down due to the differing valuations held by the clubs.
