Sheffield United sign Arsenal midfielder Earl on loan | OneFootball

Sheffield United have completed the signing of Arsenal midfielder Maddy Earl on a loan deal for the remainder of the season.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Blades just a short time ago.

Earl has spent the last decade with Arsenal after joining the club at the age of eight. She has successfully graduated from the academy and now finds herself on the fringes of the senior squad. Earl recently signed her first professional contract with The Gunners. The youngster is yet to make her senior debut for Arsenal, although she did feature for the club in their post-season tour of Australia in May.

With Earl in need of senior game time, she spent the first half of the season on loan at Bristol City. The player made seven appearances for The Robins in all competitions. Earl will now be looking to step it up again with Sheffield United.

After sealing her loan move to Bramall Lane, Earl said “I’m really looking forward to getting going. It’s obviously a really important time of year, every game is worth points and I can’t wait to get started.”

Earl is Sheffield United’s third signing of the January transfer window.
