Pernille Harder’s six-year run as Denmark Women’s Player of the Year has come to an end with Olympique Lyon striker Signe Bruun winning the award for 2021.

Bruun was nominated for the award alongside Chelsea attacker Harder and Everton defender Rikke Sevecke.

But the 23-year-old – who joined Lyon from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2021 – wins the award for the first time in her career, having previously been named Danish Young Player of the Year in 2017.
