Mexico international Gimenez wants to join Milan this month and is trying to convince his club, Feyenoord, to open talks with the Serie A giants.

Sky Sport confirms that the Rossoneri have already reached an agreement with the prolific centre-forward, but convincing the Dutch club of the deal will be the most challenging part.

“Feyenoord are unwilling to sell in January, so it remains to be seen how much the player will be pushing to join Milan this month, given that he has an agreement with the club and that his contract with Feyenoord expires in June 2026,” Baiocchini said live during Sky Sport Italia transfer show on Friday afternoon.

“It’s up to the player to push for a transfer. The player is trying to convince the club to sell him now, but we are told that Feyenoord have been strict and unwilling to sell this month. They could consider it in the summer, but now they would even struggle to find a replacement.”

Gimenez has scored 15 goals in 18 appearances with Feyenoord this season.

On Friday morning, La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that the 23-year-old had started following Milan on social media and that the Rossoneri could bid at least €30m without selling any player in the current transfer window.

Milan currently sit 8th in the Serie A table and have scored 29 goals in 20 league matches. The Serie A giants have a game in hand.
