Southampton must swallow pride for Dibling's fee else they risk massive rebuild

Southampton prodigy Tyler Dibling's dipping form is well known. If the striker's run doesn't improve, the Saints should consider even a €40m offer not to ruin Championship preparations.
Agree with me when I say this, Southampton and its fanbase are cut from a different cloth. Know why? While other Premier League clubs maximize their efforts now, the Saints sit comparatively relaxed.
Obviously, the reason is a near-certain Championship spell next. In fact, many fans are actually excited to welcome the club's winning days again.
Now, I don't intend to affect the fans' excitement, still, this time winning a promotion need not be simple. Particularly, when the club is certain to lose multiple core players in Aaron Ramsdale, Taylor Harwood-Bellis, and Tyler Dibling.
What must Southampton do then? Redevelop the squad with multiple-player reinforcements. Though a simple solution on paper, it requires significant funds apart from viable planning on the club's part practically.
Notably, that's why Southampton's Tyler Dibling decision becomes rather crucial.
It's been long since Dibling's transfer saga started. But now, we feel in its decisive stages as the Saints are expected to make an important choice. The choice to accept a reduced fee for the prodigy or delay a move further.
So, recently, as per Caught Offside, old suitors Manchester United are rethinking lining up a €40m offer for Tyler Dibling.
Now, at first, this transfer fee is sure to dampen your spirits, being far from the original €55m ask. Still, the wise and less risky option would be for Southampton to agree this straightaway.
This is because of Dibling's receding demand following a struggling phase in front of the goal. Further, the prodigy's downward English spiral hasn't helped but instead piled up on Southampton's pressure.
Overall, had it been two months ago, rejecting the offer made sense but now it isn't the safe option, that's for sure.
The final call is with Southampton, either take up this Dibling offer or face the Championship repercussions that come with poor squad building.
