Southampton reminded to avoid a repeat of missed Graham Potter chance

Southampton have been urged to complete Danny Rohl's transfer swoop quickly otherwise they risk losing him like they did on Graham Potter earlier.
Many Premier League fans agree that small and gradual steps play a paramount role in shaping a club's on-field trajectory. As expected, Southampton are also no different to this idea either.
The reason being that the club can also benefit from reflecting on a few of their good and bad decisions in recent memory. Now, keeping the summer transfer window in mind, Southampton should bother to brainstorm more on the recruitment side of things.
That being said, considering a couple of past management calls is absolutely worth it to assemble a strong playing eleven for the coming years.
In this regard, the board must primarily avoid handing out a Russell Martin-esque lengthy contract to any prospective head coach candidate. In doing so, the Saints will maintain their desired financial standing for much longer.
Now, the second checkbox includes bringing the dream manager targets in the first place. I know it sounds simple but it's much easier said than done in reality.
Recently, a Sheffield Wednesday fan has also reminded Southampton of the above mentioned point.
Talking to Football League World, he said: "Southampton were interested in him(Danny Rohl) in January, and I can see them coming back in during the summer. Even if it is not Southampton, I don't think that would be the only suitors for him this summer."
Let's rewind the scenario to a few months back. Southampton showed a keen interest in hiring Graham Potter as their new boss but their slow approach saw them miss out on securing his signature.
Similarly, the Saints are huge admirers of Danny Rohl but a delay in initiating transfer talks could give a good outside chance to their rival clubs. After all, many Championship clubs aim to achieve promotional glory and Rohl possesses the ability to help deliver those ambitions.
Hence, every Saint wouldn't want the club to lose track of their first-choice transfer target. Will Southampton speed up their attempts to bring Rohl quickly, let's wait to find out.
