Recently, Southampton loanee Sam Amo-Ameyaw made his Strasbourg Ligue 1 debut. Notably, the way he played has people say that Liam Rosenior brought out his best which the Saints failed to do.

Tell me, does it make sense for one to succumb to pressure in known situations? It does not. Still, that's what Southampton's first team setup has been doing recently.

Well, we talk about the player resource underutilization Southampton has done in a while despite having a talent factory academy.

Take the case of Tyler Dibling. Within months of the Ivan Juric era, he has seen a national team demotion while his goalless streak continues in the Premier League.

Still, only boss Juric isn't to be blamed. Notably, even before him, the Saints did various injustices this season.

Yet the biggest one remains loaning-cum selling out prodigy Sam Amo-Ameyaw on shocking terms. Fast forward to now, the 18-year-old is shining in his new club Strasbourg.

But what did it take? A ton of backing and confidence from the French side, especially manager Liam Rosenior. To note, Amo-Ameyaw has made a spectacular Ligue 1 debut in an unconventional right-wingback role.

Rosenior's wingback experiment brings out the best of Amo-Ameyaw

Now, it might sting Southampton fans but Rosenior managed to achieve one thing in the prodigy's inaugural game that the Saints couldn't before. Well, it's bringing the prodigy's best version.

Notably, having played in a wing or midfield role before, Amo-Ameyaw looked much more improved in this new role. Known for his acceleration and dribbling capabilities, the teenager managed a hand in defense while transitioning smoothly into the offensive role.

But, while Amo-Ameyaw had a fixture to remember, his performance must've made Southampton repent for not trusting him enough.

Surprisingly, still, there's a way, Southampton gets the last laugh. You might know Liam Rosenior's links with the Saints. Imagine in case, he arrives, what he would turn their squad into, bringing out the best of existing players.
