The first international break of 2025 is now here. After another disappointing defeat at the weekend, a lot of Spurs fans will be glad to have the break. In fact, with FA Cup quarter-final weekend set to take place upon the return of club football, Ange's side don't actually play again until the 3rd of April.

So, over the next week or so, there are set to be games taking place all over the world - from South America to Ocenia. With it, there are plenty of games for Tottenham Hotspur players - plenty of which we have already covered.

Two players that we haven't yet mentioned are midfielders Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma, who are set to represent their respective nations in African World Cup qualifying during this iternational break.

To begin, Sarr and his Senegal side will take on Sudan and Togo. They will face Sudan on the road on Saturday, the 22nd of March at 19:00 GMT, before hosting Togo on Tuesday, the 25th of March, at 21:00 GMT.

Heading into this break, Senegal are second in their qualifying group, with eight points from four games - two points behind the aforementioned Sudan - so a win would be absolutely huge in that game.

The winner of the group will directly qualify for the World Cup in North America next year, whilst the runners-up will potentially compete in the second round, where they will have the chance to advance to the inter-confederation play offs. The four best runners up will get that opportunity, and then play semi finals and a final. As it stands, Senegal would not be in the top four runners up.

Meanwhile, Bissouma and his Mali side will face Comoros and Central African Republic away from home. They will face Comoros on Thursday, the 20th of March, at 21:00 GMT, whilst the game against Central African Republic will be on Monday, the 24th of March, at 16:00 GMT.

As it stands, Mali are fourth in their group, with five points from four games - four points behind first place Comoros and second placed Ghana, so there is plenty of work to do. The game against Comoros provides a great opportunity to seriously narrow the gap between the two sides.

Quick sidenote: The draw for the 2025-2026 Africa Cup of Nations was made earlier this year. Sarr's Senegal are in a group with Benin, Botswana, and DR Congo, whilst Bissouma's Mali are in a group with the aforementioned Comoros, Zambia, and hosts Morocco.
