Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Hull City’s Jarred Bowen in January.

That’s according to The Sun, but they also claim that Bowen’s arrival in north London is likely to depend on whether Spurs can make room for him in the squad by getting rid of Vincent Janssen and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou.

Janssen returned from a loan spell at Fenerbahçe in the summer while Nkoudou spent the second half of last season on loan at Burnley, but neither player has made a single Premier League appearance for the Lilywhites this season.

Bowen, meanwhile, was reportedly on Everton’s radar in the summer but the Toffees now appear to have dropped their interest, giving Spurs a clean run at his signature.

The 22-year-old scored 15 times last season and has already bagged 10 this year, including a brace in the Tigers’ 2-0 win away at Leeds on Saturday.

The Sun claim Spurs have scouted him several times in recent months and are hoping to make a £12m when the transfer window reopens in January.

But it could all depend on whether they’re able to offload a couple of unwanted players first, and Hull boss Nigel Adkins recently suggested the East Yorkshire outfit are under no pressure to sell.

“We’re not looking to sell. The owners have said we don’t need to. However, we all know what football can be like,” said Adkins after the win at Elland Road.

“Jarrod has scored 15 last season, he’s got 10 this season. He’s a young English player who’s exciting and has got flair. Who knows what will happen?

“I’m sure his representatives would love to have him touted around everywhere, that’s football. But I’m really pleased that he’s working hard for the team.”
