The CEO of AS Monaco stopped in the mixed zone after the draw between the Rouge et Blanc and Lens (1-1), to give an initial update on the start of this 2024-2025 season.

Seven points out of nine. While the men of Adi Hütter shared the points for the first time in Ligue 1 this season against the Sang et Or (1-1), the results have been very positive at the start of the season for the Club. This is what was particularly highlighted by AS Monaco CEO Thiago Scuro, with the media. 🎙️

Good evening Thiago. What are your feelings after this draw on a difficult pitch?

Unfortunately the pitch is in a bad state, and this impacts the quality and outcome of the match. We are sincerely sorry to the players, the fans. We are working hard to be able to change it in the next few days. I can assure you that there will be a much better pitch for our next home game against Barcelona.

We will be ready, everything will be done this week. For various reasons, it is difficult to have a perfect pitch in the middle of summer in Monaco, we are nevertheless trying to see how to improve this in the future. Once again it is damaging for the game, but we will do everything to offer better conditions to the players.

Are you still looking for reinforcements on the free agent market?

Not exactly. At a certain stage we were able to evaluate some possibilities, but it didn’t necessarily work out in relation to our conditions. As I often say, we are also engaged in sensible management to have a healthy club. Once again, we are happy with the team we have. We had desires and considering the needs we had, we were able to work well in this transfer window.

We know well enough how difficult Ligue 1 is, and our goal is to play this prestigious competition again next season. So when we return from the international break, we will have a very important match in Auxerre before thinking about Europe.

A word on the Champions League draw…

We have a great European campaign ahead of us, especially with this first match against FC Barcelona at home! It’s a big match ahead of us, but I repeat, we must not let the Champions League distract us from our main objective.
