Dilane Bakwa is set for his first start for RC Strasbourg Alsace since his €10m move from Girondins de Bordeaux this summer, as Les Alsaciens begin life without Jean-Ricner Bellegarde.
Strasbourg’s starting XI is barely recognisable to last season’s squad. Under new ownership, the club underwent an ambitious summer rebuild, and whilst promising midfielder Habib Diarra was retained, despite the advances of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Jean-Ricner Bellegarde did join the Premier League side on the final hours of deadline day. The former France youth international will be a big miss for Patrick Vieira’s side. Bakwa is expected to replace Bellegarde as they travel to Nice, where Vieira will come up against his former club. Les Alsaciens don’t have any fresh injury concerns to major players heading into matchday four of the Ligue 1 season.
