Stuttgart earmark promising Ligue 1 duo in search for new centre-back | OneFootball

According to a report from Foot Mercato, VfB Stuttgart have earmarked Ligue 1 duo Christopher Wooh (23) and Étienne Youte Kinkoué (22) as potential targets.

Stuttgart’s defence has been their weakness this season and as a result, the Bundesliga side are intent on bringing in reinforcements in this sector during the upcoming January transfer window. Two up-and-coming profiles are of interest to the club: Wooh and Kinkoué.

Kinkoué recently signed a short-term contract extension at Le Havre AC, which allowed him to be re-integrated into the first-team set-up. His current deal runs until the summer of 2026, however, given their financial situation, HAC will be willing to listen to offers for the France U21 international.

Cameroon international Wooh is also an option for Stuttgart. He has made 12 appearances in a struggling Stade Rennais side this season. Both players have a similar value on the market, between €8-10m, as per Foot Mercato.
