Suwon FC, looking to back manager Kim Eun-jung in the transfer market, have bolstered their squad with a flurry of winter window signings from overseas. Winger Mohamed Ofkir, attacking full back Leroy Abanda, and imposing striker Pablo Sabbag have all signed on the dotted line ahead of the 2025 Hana Bank K League 1 season.

Suwon FC have announced the signing of Mohamed Ofkir (28), a versatile winger from Norwegian top-flight club Vålerenga Fotball.

Ofkir, born in 1996, is a Norwegian winger capable of playing on both flanks as well as in central attacking positions. Over his professional career, he has played 228 matches, scoring 35 goals and providing 31 assists, consistently demonstrating his attacking prowess.

Known for his precision in set-piece situations, Ofkir is expected to serve as a key playmaker for Suwon FC. His physicality and ability to exploit defensive gaps with dynamic dribbling are anticipated to bring added energy and unpredictability to the team’s attacking strategies.

Abanda, who developed at top-tier academies such as AS Monaco and AC Milan, is a young defender with significant European experience, having made 142 appearances across various competitions.

Standing at 180cm and weighing 74kg, Abanda combines a solid physique with impressive speed. He excels in both overlapping and underlapping runs, allowing him to seamlessly transition between wide and central areas during matches. Additionally, he is known for delivering sharp and accurate crosses in attacking situations.

As a full-back with exceptional attacking abilities, Abanda’s arrival is viewed as more than just defensive reinforcement—it’s seen as a move to enhance Suwon FC’s overall creativity and offensive potential.
