Rangers beat Celtic after taking the lead for a third time in the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League clash, Hibernian also won a derby game at Hearts.

Celtic 2-3 Rangers Partick Thistle 1-1 Motherwell Spartans 3-0 Montrose Dundee United 1-2 Aberdeen Queen’s Park 1-6 Glasgow City Hearts 0-1 Hibernian

Chelsea Cornet grabbed the winner for Rangers at Celtic with a dozen minutes to play, the Hoops having equalised twice beforehand as Caitlin Hayes cancelled out Rio Hardy’s early goal and Saoirse Noonan buried a free-kick after Katie Wilkinson converted from the spot.

Glasgow City stayed top by a point from Rangers, aided by a Nicole Kozlova hat-trick in a 6-1 win against Queen’s Park. Hayley Lauder got a couple and Katie Lockwood City’s other, Rosie McQuillan replying for the Spiders.

Hibernian won the Edinburgh derby at Hearts to sit a point behind them and go above Celtic on goal-difference. Rosie Livingstone came off the bench to break the deadlock in the last ten minutes, following up a Stacy Papadopoulos effort.

Partick Thistle drew the mid-table match with Motherwell despite a Demi Falconer own goal, Tiree Burchill equalising in the second half to keep the Jags just a point short of their visitors.

Hannah Jordan hit a hat-trick in the last 23 minutes as Spartans defeated Montrose 3-0, while Aberdeen came from behind to win at basement side Dundee United who had led through Freya Brien, Francesca Ogilvie and Emily Kraft scoring for the Dons.

Hamilton Academical 6-1 St Johnstone Boroughmuir Thistle 1-0 Kilmarnock Gartcairn 4-0 Ayr United Rossvale 5-2 Livingston

Hamilton lead the table by 11 points after they hit St Johnstone 6-1 on Friday and Boroughmuir Thistle beat second-placed Kilmarnock with a Cara Borthwick goal.

Rossvale posted a good 5-2 victory over Livingston set up by Megan Whiteford’s brace, Gartcairn put four past Ayr United with two from Kaela McDonald-Nguah.
