Following the 2-0 win at Manchester City at the weekend, Liverpool entertained Newcastle United in a tantalizing preview to next month’s EFL Cup final.
The lineup and subsequent ratings are listed below.
The world-class Brazilian stopper was comfortable and only really had a Callum Wilson effort to worry him in a strong and authoritative performance.
The England superstar started the game with a slow demeanour as he looked to edge his way into the game. It was in the second half that he came alive and committed fully to an attacking effort to help win the game.

The Duch midfielder was keen to cover ground and offer both on and off-ball balance. The touches were refined and the coverage of the grass was excellent before leaving the field.
