Given the connective power that football - and sport as a whole - so often can wield, Forest's feel-good gesture to honour those that have sacrificed in defence of their respective nations should not go overlooked.

Espírito Santo and Forest players the likes of Anthony Elanga, Morgan Gibbs-White, and Ola Aina greeted Team UK members and exchanged stories in sit-down groups during the meet-and-greet.

Team UK will compete against servicemen and women, both veteran and serving, from 30 other nations across a four-day competition whose aim is to help its participants both psychologically and physically.
