In almost every Premier League team there’s a player their teammates just wouldn’t want to be without. While labelling this lot a one-man team might be a stretch, there has certainly been an over-reliance when it comes to delivering goals and assists.
Here are the Premier League players with the highest percentage of their team’s goals and assists in 2024/25.
Erling Haaland might just be the most reliable goalscorer in the game right now. Haaland has won back-to-back Premier League Golden Boots since arriving at the Etihad, breaking countless records along the way.
Though he trails Mohamed Salah in this season’s race, he’s still breached 20 league goals for the third straight campaign. Just last weekend, he became the fastest footballer in Premier League history to reach 100 goals and assists, taking just 94 appearances to hit a century.
A shining light in an otherwise tough season for Ipswich Town.
Liam Delap was snapped up from Manchester City last summer and has handled his first full campaign at Premier League level impressively. The 22-year-old has scored 10 goals and laid on two assists, with Delap perhaps unfortunate to have been overlooked by England this month. He’s likely to be a Premier League player next season, regardless of which division Ipswich are in.
Ollie Watkins has not been quite as explosive as last season but ranks fourth for the highest percentage of his team’s goal involvements.
He’s scored 13 times and provided six assists for Aston Villa, having seen off the threat of Jhon Duran to reaffirm his place as Unai Emery’s main man.
Not for the first time, Bruno Fernandes has picked up the slack at Manchester United. The club’s plight has been a miserable one this season but Fernandes is one of the few who can look himself in the mirror.
The 30-year-old has an impressive eight goals and nine assists in a struggling side and is the only Premier League player to have recorded 60+ chances created, made 60+ tackles and 150+ ball recoveries this season.
Europe’s top clubs are circling Alexander Isak for a reason. The Swedish striker has enjoyed another brilliant season at Newcastle, capped with a goal in the club’s drought-breaking Carabao Cup success against Liverpool last weekend.
Isak has scored 23 goals in all competitions with 19 of those in the Premier League. Another will see the 25-year-old breach 20 goals in the Premier League in successive seasons. Not even the great Alan Shearer achieved that in a Newcastle shirt…
Mohamed Salah tops this list having been involved in a staggering 63.8% of Liverpool’s league goals this season.
Salah leads the division for goals and assists, sitting comfortably clear in the race for the Premier League’s Golden Boot and Playmaker Awards. The Egyptian’s phenomenal season has fired Liverpool to the top of the table with the Reds boasting a 12-point lead over Arsenal.
Still, somehow, his future remains unresolved beyond this season.
