Barcelona’s attack has evolved into one of the most formidable in Europe, with Hansi Flick shaping an impressive trio featuring Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski, and Lamine Yamal.

The combination of these three players has been a key factor in the team’s performances this season, showing a level of chemistry that has only grown stronger over time.

While their connection has been highlighted recently, the groundwork was laid much earlier, particularly between Raphinha and Lewandowski, who have been building their partnership since their arrival in 2022.

Raphinha’s chemistry with Lewandowski

When Raphinha and Lewandowski joined Barcelona in the summer of 2022, the understanding between the two began to develop quickly. Over time, their relationship on the pitch has blossomed, resulting in significant contributions to the team’s goal tally.

Since their arrival, the duo has combined for 10 goals, with Raphinha providing 8 assists to Lewandowski.

These assists have been spread across multiple seasons—three in the 2022-2023 campaign, two in 2023-2024, and three more so far in 2024-2025. Lewandowski, on his part, has repaid Raphinha with two assists, one in 2023-2024 and another in 2024-2025.

Where does Yamal sit?

Yamal, despite being a more recent addition to the trio, has quickly integrated himself into this dynamic. His understanding with both Raphinha and Lewandowski has also been evident, though his contribution has been more modest so far.

Yamal has provided three assists to Raphinha and five to Lewandowski, while Lewandowski has returned the favour by assisting him once.

Interestingly, Raphinha is yet to assist Yamal, but the Brazilian has continued to be a key provider for Lewandowski, setting up five more goals for the Polish striker this season alone.

This trio continues to develop, with each player contributing to the overall success of the team in their own unique way. As they further hone their connections, Barcelona’s attack looks set to remain a potent force in at least a couple of seasons to come.
