We spent the whole of last week whining about it but there have been some big surprises, great goals and if we’re honest, we’re actually really enjoying it.

Here’s what you may have missed from Saturday’s action …

Germany made Depay

There’s something really weird about Germany not being good at football.

It may well just be a blip, but following their dismal World Cup campaign, Joachim Löw’s side are yet to score a goal in the UEFA Nations League and were thumped 3-0 by the Netherlands last night. 3-0!

Gibraltar rock

The craziest result of the day saw Gibraltar pick up their first ever competitive victory when Joseph Chipolina (who plays his club football for Lincoln Red Imps) gave them a 1-0 victory over Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s Armenia.

Interestingly, this was Armenia manager Armen Gyulbudaghyants first game in charge, and look at the stats!

You could say it was sweet revenge for the Armenian FA making a massive pre-kick-off cock up and playing Liechtenstein’s national anthem by mistake.
