Manchester City sit second and Arsenal third, each just a point behind the Reds with goal difference separating the undefeated sides.

Each have records of five wins and two draws from their seven fixtures, with one of those stalemates coming when the teams met at the Etihad last month. After two tense title races over the last two seasons, the rivals will be expected to compete for the crown again.

Ligue 1 – Lens, Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain

A trio of teams remain unbeaten in French football, with Lens, Monaco and PSG all without a loss on their record.

Monaco are the league leaders with 19 points from seven games, with PSG – the league’s leading scorers – two points behind after being held by Nice at the weekend.

Lens find themselves down in sixth despite remaining undefeated. Draw specialists, five of the club’s seven Ligue 1 games have ended with the points shared.

Bundesliga – Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig

Bayern Munich’s long reign as Bundesliga champions came to an end last season, though the Bavarians have made an ominous start in their bid to reclaim the crown. Unbeaten after six games, Vincent Kompany’s side have scored 20 times in just six league fixtures.

RB Leipzig trail the league leaders on goal difference with an identical record of four wins and two draws. Leipzig have conceded just two goals to date and boast the best defensive record in the division.

Bayer Leverkusen, who completed the Bundesliga’s first ever unbeaten season in 2023/24, saw that run ended by Leipzig on August 31.

Serie A – Juventus

Juventus are aiming to retake their place at the top of Serie A after a relative drought of four seasons without the Scudetto for the Old Lady.

Now under the management of Thiago Motta, Juventus have conceded just once in seven Serie A games. Unbeaten, the Bianconeri sit third in the table with four of their seven games ended in draws.

La Liga – Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid

The capital clubs are the last teams standing in La Liga this season with neither Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid beaten domestically this season.

Real Madrid have not lost in La Liga in over 12 months, since defeat to Atletico in the derby in September 2023. Carlo Ancelotti’s side have gone 41 games without losing (30 wins and 11 draws) and can level the all-time La Liga record, held by Barcelona, when they face the Catalan side in El Clasico on October 26. The champions must first navigate a game with Celta Vigo after the international break.

Atletico have not lose in their opening nine games but sit seven points off the title pace after drawing five times.
