The world class star Chelsea fans don’t want to see playing tonight – and why

Chelsea are in action at 8pm tonight against Legia Warsaw at home, and there are a lot of players we’re hoping to see.
The chances of the Poles turning around such a scoreline at Stamford Bridge, even against our B or C team, are miniscule, so we expect full rotation from Enzo Maresca. We’re sure Josh Acheampong and Tyrique George, who impressed so much last week, will get a start. But we’d go even further – we want to see Shim Mheuka get another start.
In central midfield, we already saw Sam Rak-Sakyi play in this competition, and Enzo Maresca claimed he was also going to start him in the FA Cup Third Round back in January too, before illness ruled him out. So we’d love to see him get a chance tonight, given the circumstances.

Him playing in midfield would mean no need to use Reece James, keeping the captain ready for deployment at the weekend.
If we see James, we will be so frustrated. It’s been decided that the full back is only capable of one game a week – that’s fair enough. But we want that one game to be the one that matters, against Fulham this weekend. There is simply no need to use him tonight.
It was madding to see him play 77 minutes against Legia last week where we didn’t need him, then have him not play a minute against Ipswich at the weekend as we fumbled two precious points in the race for the Champions League.
Well, the teams are out in half an hour – we guess we’ll find out then how cross we’re going to be, and we’ll all but find out what the team is for Sunday’s game too.
