Barcelona vice president Rafa Yuste has offered a realistic but hopeful perspective on the club’s ambitions for the remainder of the season.
Speaking during a public event, Yuste addressed the growing excitement surrounding the possibility of a treble this season.
Yuste stressed the importance of following Hansi Flick’s philosophy of taking things one game at a time.
“Barça has the possibility of achieving the treble, but always with humility and with what Hansi tells us to go step by step, so that this illusion that many people have can be fulfilled.
“But at this moment, we must keep our feet on the ground and think that we have not won anything,” he noted.

Yuste praised Flick for the significant impact he has made since taking over. He described Flick as a strong leader and mentor, especially for the younger players in the squad.
He also acknowledged Xavi Hernandez’s earlier contribution in bringing several academy players into the first team, but highlighted that Flick’s ability to adapt quickly and manage a youthful team has exceeded many expectations.
“I consider Hansi as a father and I would also like to say from here that Xavi put many players in the first team, very young people.
“I would say that Hansi’s work is unthinkable for many people, and we are very grateful to him for his ability to adapt to the club and, above al,l to this squad of such young players.
“They are kids who need experience and his message. He is doing very well,” he explained.

Looking ahead, Yuste commented on the upcoming Champions League semi-final against Inter Milan. He admitted that the Italian side would be a tough opponent and one that deserves a lot of respect.
“It’s a very demanding fixture. Inter are an experienced side in Europe, and reaching the final won’t be easy,” he explained.
When asked about Real Madrid’s elimination from European competition, Yuste kept his response measured.
He said that his thoughts are solely with Barcelona’s journey and that the team’s focus is on what lies ahead.
“It’s not about whether Madrid is there or not. What matters is that we’re still competing. That’s what’s most important.”
