The Bianconeri took the lead in the first half with Tim Weah and recovered from two goals down after the break, seeing Kenan Yildiz score two goals as a substitute.

After his post-match interview with DAZN, Juventus coach Thiago Motta explained why Weah started over Yildiz.

“I decided that Weah could give us something important in transitions,” Motta said at a press conference attended by Football Italia.

“Kenan could help the team in the second half as a winger or as a [attacking] midfielder or striker.”

The Italian tactician said more about the Juventus performance at San Siro.

“There are many opinions, and we don’t all agree with this situation. We competed with one of the title favourites, and we played well at times,” he said.

“It’s a game we must study well. We must analyse these highs and lows to understand where to improve and keep the same level for 95 minutes.

“We can improve in everything. Today we had good moments and bad moments, but we are talking about one of the title favourites [Inter].

“We know we have young players, but we are convinced we can do more than today. Absences may have had an impact, but it’s no excuse.”

Juventus’ next Serie A game is against Parma at the Allianz Stadium on Wednesday, October 30.

The Bianconeri sit third in the Serie A table, five points below leaders Napoli.
