A title race will be on the line as Real Madrid take on Celta Vigo on Sunday afternoon.

This will be a must-win game for Los Blancos who are trailing league leaders Barcelona by four points. With a Clasico coming up on May 11, it is essential that Madrid do not lose sight of Barcelona at the top.

That said, Real Madrid, who are already going through an injury crisis, must take caution heading into the Celta clash as there are multiple players who are running the risk of suspension in the next game against Barcelona.

Three Real Madrid players at risk of suspension

As a matter of fact, no less than three Real Madrid players are running the risk of picking up a suspension against Barcelona due to accumulation of yellow cards.

The three players in question are Lucas Vazquez, Aurelien Tchouameni and Dani Ceballos, all of who have picked up at least four yellow cards this season

Therefore, they could be ruled out of the next league game against Barcelona if they pick up a booking against Celta Vigo.

This is quite significant for Real Madrid considering the fact that coach Carlo Ancelotti is missing out on the services of multiple stars in the team due to injury.

Star defender Antonio Rudiger is out for the season with an injury. David Alaba, too, is struggling with an injury, joining Ferland Mendy on the sidelines. As such,Tchouameni’s availability becomes crucial given that he could start at centre-back.

In midfield, Eduardo Camavinga is out with an injury, which makes Ceballos’ presence in the game even more important.

As for Vazquez, he is the only available natural option at right-back, where Dani Carvajal is still recovering from a long-term injury.

Therefore, Real Madrid cannot afford to have any of these three players out against Barcelona, as they look to retain their hopes alive in the title race.
